Tucked away in the great Smoky Mountains near Lake Santeetlah on the outskirts of  Robbinsville, North Carolina is a true find- the rolling acres of the pick-your-own Stoney Hollow Farm.

There are ten cultivated acres producing everything from A to Z  (apples to zinnias)  When you first climb the gravel drive, you are greeted by pups Pudge, Rosie, and Rocky  (if they can be roused from their naps!) Enter the barn and you see tables piled with fresh delectable produce for those who prefer already picked produce. Apples, grapes, corn, tomatoes, potatoes, squash, and blueberries currently grace the table. See the General Store page for seasons and pricing. Stoney Hollow Farm is a wonderful place to bring the children and grandkids.  It always tastes better when you pick it yourself. Grab the white plastic buckets and you’ll be directed to the right area with instructions from owners Scott & Stephanie Boxberger and their friendly staff. When you return, weigh your bounty, calculate your bill, and put your money in the freezer. Stoney Hollow Farm operates on the honor system.

If you are here on a Friday, it’s baked goods day with delectable treats featuring products using seasonal fruits. Currently available are 12 grain bread, pumpernickel rye with caraway seeds, and zucchini bread. For the sweet tooth are flaky raspberry cream cheese bars, gooey apple bars, and crisp apples covered in caramel. Several local restaurants feature these specialty items on their menus. See Area Retail Merchants page

Since the bounty is so great, excess plums, blackberries, raspberries, grapes, and apples are crafted into delicious jams, jellies, preserves and vinegars. Please see the General Store page for available product and pricing.  Stoney Hollow Farm also boasts its own beehives and honey is available with or without the comb.

The zinnia garden, situated between grapes and watermelons, is a haven for a variety of beautiful butterflies and hummingbirds - Don’t forget your camera...img_0030.jpg See the Flower Garden page for a sample of this incredible experience. If you can’t bear to leave, don’t. High atop the hill above Stoney Hollow Farm is a fabulous luxury rental home which sleeps up to 12 people and affords a gorgeous panoramic view of the smoky mountains. From the front porch hammock, take in the beautiful vista and watch the family burros cavort. Out back are nature trails leading to a natural stream, small waterfalls, and wildflowers. See it for yourself at the VACATION  RENTAL page on this website.
